Gynecological Cancers Center in Turkey
From diagnosis to recovery: fast, advanced diagnostics, experienced gynecologic oncologists, minimally invasive robotic surgery and next-generation radiotherapy — all in one center in Istanbul.
International accreditations and recognition
Early and precise diagnosis
Gynecological cancers affect the ovaries, cervix, uterus (endometrium), vulva and vagina. At Anadolu Medical Center, our gynecologic oncology team provides precise and rapid diagnostics, with a patient-centered approach at every stage of your care.
Gynecological examination and transvaginal/pelvic ultrasound — a complete initial assessment.
HPV testing, Pap smear and colposcopy — for early detection of cervical abnormalities.
Endometrial biopsy and hysteroscopy — to evaluate abnormal bleeding and detect uterine cancer.
Tumor markers (CA-125, HE4) and pelvic/abdominal MRI or CT — to assess the extent of disease.
PET/CT imaging — to detect the spread of cancer beyond the pelvis.
Genetic counselling and BRCA1/BRCA2 testing — to assess hereditary risk and guide treatment decisions.

Personalized treatment options
Treatment for gynecological cancers depends on the type, stage and progression of the disease, and — for younger patients — whether preserving fertility is a priority. At Anadolu Medical Center we offer:
Robotic and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery: for ovarian, cervical, endometrial and vulvar cancers, performed by experienced surgeons.
Fertility-sparing surgery: for eligible patients with early-stage cervical or endometrial cancer who wish to preserve fertility.
Radiotherapy: external beam radiation for cervical, endometrial and vaginal cancers.
Chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy: for advanced or recurrent gynecological cancers.
Hormone therapy: for hormone-sensitive endometrial and ovarian cancers.

Robotic surgery
Faster recovery – Less pain – Greater precision
For many gynecological cancers, robot-assisted surgery is one of the most effective options. Our gynecologic oncology surgeons use the Da Vinci® Xi system, with clear advantages over open surgery:
Smaller incisions and minimal blood loss
Reduced postoperative pain
Lower risk of complications and a shorter hospital stay
A faster return to normal activities
Greater precision in preserving surrounding organs and, when possible, fertility

Next-generation radiotherapy
Real-time imaging – Greater precision – Fewer side effects
MR-Linac combines real-time MRI with linear accelerator radiation, allowing doctors to see the tumor during treatment and adjust radiation delivery with remarkable precision. This is especially valuable in cervical, endometrial and vaginal cancers, where nearby organs (the bladder and bowel) can shift from day to day.
SBRT and VMAT radiotherapies delivered via CyberKnife and Varian Edge technologies are also available, offering additional precision options for local control.
Targeted and systemic therapies
When gynecological cancer is advanced, recurrent, or has spread, conventional treatment alone may not be enough. Targeted and systemic therapies offer additional options, often with fewer side effects. Contact us to find out whether you are eligible.
For BRCA-mutated or platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer, used to help delay recurrence.
For selected cervical and endometrial cancers, particularly those with specific molecular markers (e.g. MSI-high).
To help control advanced ovarian and cervical cancer.
Delivering heated chemotherapy directly into the abdominal cavity for selected ovarian cancer cases.

Complete gynecologic oncology
In addition to gynecological cancers, our team evaluates and manages:
Precancerous cervical lesions (CIN) and abnormal Pap smear results: monitored or treated with LEEP/conization to prevent progression to cancer.
Complex or suspicious ovarian masses and cysts: evaluated to rule out malignancy.
Hereditary cancer risk (BRCA and Lynch syndrome): genetic counselling and risk-reducing surgery for high-risk women.

Nothing. The medical second opinion is completely free: you send your documents (pathology report, imaging, tumor markers) and our gynecologic oncology team responds within 48 hours with your treatment options and a cost estimate.
Smaller incisions with minimal blood loss, reduced postoperative pain, a shorter hospital stay, a faster return to normal activities, and greater precision in preserving surrounding organs.
In selected early-stage cases, fertility-sparing surgery may be an option. Eligibility depends on the type, stage and grade of the cancer, and is assessed individually by our gynecologic oncology board after reviewing your documents.
Yes. For patients who are not candidates for surgery, external beam radiotherapy — including advanced techniques such as MR-Linac, VMAT and SBRT — can be a suitable option; our medical team will recommend the approach appropriate to your diagnosis.
This depends on the treatment plan. For surgery, the hospital stay is generally short, and the total stay in Istanbul is usually 7–10 days, depending on recovery. For chemotherapy or radiotherapy delivered in cycles, treatment may require a longer stay or multiple visits — you will receive an estimated schedule from the outset.
Yes. Our international patient team speaks English, a medical interpreter accompanies you to consultations and investigations, and your English-speaking patient coordinator stays in constant contact with you and your family, including after you return home.
